13mm Dee Shackle for Tow Bars – Maximum 8.0t ATM
All trailers in Australia, including caravans and campers, must be connected to the tow vehicle through a rated chain.
It’s common to use D-shackles as connectors between the safety chain and the tow bar. D-shackles are inexpensive, easy to attach and detach, and provide a secure connection, making them a convenient choice for trailer and caravan owners.
The size of the pin can be difficult for some to remove; in this case, the 10mm hook set may be a more convenient option.
Most customers use this rated D-Shackle for 4.5-ton (4.5t) ATM towing applications, as it’s simple, affordable, and gets the job done.
