The bearing kit from NSK Japan includes front and back bearings, the new marine rubber seal, and a pressed steel hub cover.

It is wise to remove the old bearing cups when replacing bearings. Cups and races are subject to wear and tear. You need immediate replacement if you witness carbon black in your grease or black grease, cups, and races.

Low-quality bearings have poor coatings and low tolerances. These bearings wear quickly and are not suitable for long-haul, high-speed use.

Use high-temperature bearing grease at high speeds.

Take care when lubricating the rubber seal. Insert a liberal coating on the lips into the stainless steel ring. The seal quickly becomes ineffective if these clips are not greased.
