Pintle Hook – 5t to 16.5t ADR Approved with Certification and D-Values
Couplemate pintle hooks are rated from 5t to 16.5t and include 1/2″ Grade 8 or higher tensile bolts.
In simple terms, ensure that pintle towing equipment over 3.5t is approved and tested to ADR 62/2.
A pintle attachment or coupling connects trailers to trucks. The attachment consists of a hook and ring coupling.
All trailers over 3.5t use Herc Alloy safety chain kits. Chain kits include chains and holders for trailers and trucks.
Although the paint is peeling, the pintle coupling below continues to provide service after many faithful years.
The pintle hook safety pin locks the top level, preventing accidental opening.
