These replacement kits are designed to make maintenance easy. Each kit includes four U-brackets, two spring locator pads, and one axle fish plate. Small hardware, like Nyloc nuts and washers, are also included!
When do you replace caravan U-bolts?
U-bolts and U-brackets have an essential function: fastening. They fasten your springs to your axle beam, ensuring that your wheels stay attached to your caravan’s underbody.
For caravan and camper trailer owners with traditional spring and beam suspension, it’s important to replace U-bolts when they’re worn, rusted, or stretched.

Do Not Reuse U-bolts
- The used U-bolts will have been stressed, and the threads will be rusted and damaged from the previous installation.
- A torqued U-bolt will suffer from distorted threads or stretched threads.
- Nylock Nuts should be tightened once and retorqued, but never loosened and retightened.
- A used U-bolt may have suffered from fatigue and excessive stress since achieving accurate torque.
