Although the industry uses the word 2t, the actual rating is 2.25t.
This rating allows trailers up to 4.5t to be road registered.
Also available is a 3t axle setup for unbraked, disc rotor and 12-inch drum brakes.
The selection between 2.25t and 3t allows for lower maintenance events at 3t rather than exceeding weight restrictions.
Couplemate manufacturers all disc rotors and drums at its Wynnum facility in Brisbane.
