Brake Caliper Repair Parts
Caliper Parts and Spares
Caliper Parts at Couplemate include every conceivable caliper-based disk brake spare part you’ll need.
Two types of vehicle brake systems use calipers.
Mechanical disc brakes require disc pads to transfer the braking force to the disc rotors.
Hydraulic disc brakes require brake pads and an electric brake controller with a brake actuator.
Mechanical Trailer Brakes At Couplemate
Our trailer brake components are designed to suit mechanical and hydraulic disc brakes. We also make stainless caliper brake piston parts exclusively for Al-ko and Trojan parts, including our exclusive 316 stainless pistons.
Maybe you service your brake calipers, whether mechanical or hydraulic. However, unless you do this regularly, they often perform poorly. Our job is to get them functioning like new—this is not as hard as you think.
Firstly, understand that your slides are 316-grade stainless and do not need grease. Furthermore, if you grease them, they only attract dirt. Next, pull those pistons out of their housing and replace them with new seals with stainless pistons. Get yourself a G-Clamp to push those pistons back when installing new pads.
Use copper washers on all hydraulic connections. Copper washers help stop hydraulic leaks and maintain hydraulic pressure, thus providing effective braking to disc rotors.
Caliper replacement brake parts for mechanical and hydraulic disc brakes can be quite challenging to find. Couplemate only stocks Al-ko® and Trojan® brands. We can usually Express Post them to you within 24 hours.
