LED Trailer Plugs and Sockets incl LED 12 pin Trailer Plugs

12-pin LED Plugs and Sockets and why they should be installed correctly. Follow these golden rules for Installing 12v equipment.

  • Solder all joints
  • Heat Shrink all soldered joints.
  • Test lights before soldering
  • Run cabling inside the chassis rail.
  • Do not use the trailer frame as earth. Always install a separate earth wire. (white cable)

Trailer lights are not voltage drop sensitive due to the LED drawing such a low current.

However, an electric brake cable is the opposite. Always install a larger size than the recommended one. Bigger is better when installing electric brake cables.
