The Couplemate™ 50mm High Shoulder Tow Ball was engineered specifically for Australian off-road conditions.
Experienced tower operators understand the importance of a level drawbar. With so many different vehicle combinations on the road, it’s no surprise that Adjustable Tow Hitches have become increasingly popular.
While we’re huge fans of our CM529 – Mega Adjustable Hitch, we recognise that not everyone needs such a heavy-duty option. This is where the 50mm High Shoulder Tow Ball comes in.
In particular, Australians often pair this tow ball with the ALKO 619350 Off-Road Ball Coupling. The high shoulder design offers greater articulation and prevents the coupling head from scraping against the receiver tongue.
The increased shoulder height lifts the coupling by about 13mm compared to a standard 50mm ball, providing a small but effective height boost. Off-road caravans and trailers face tough conditions—whether rock crawling in the outback or navigating the potholes on the Bruce Highway.
In these environments, the mechanical connection between your vehicle and trailer undergoes significant shock loading. The Couplemate™ Tow Ball will endure these stresses while ensuring a safe towing experience.
