Whether you’re looking to replace your current trailer suspension or build your own, you can be confident in the Couplemate™ Commitment to Quality. This trailer shackle spring hanger kit suits 45mm wide leaf springs for single-axle setups (up to 1900kg).
This kit will suit shackle springs that are 710mm long (both centred and offset).

When you buy the 45mm Shackle Spring Hanger Kit, you will receive:
- 2 x 9/16″ Front Hangers
- 2 x Rear Dumbjacks
- 2 x 9/16″ Non-Greasable Spring Bushes
- 4 x 9/16″ Shackle Plates
- 6 x 9/16″ Non-Greasable Shackle Pins (incl. Nyloc nuts)

How to Correctly Install Hangers
Where possible, Couplemate™ recommends flipping your chassis upside down to install the kit. Installation takes 1-2 hours and requires welding.
- Locate the wheel’s centre well because this is where the spring centre pin is located.
- Measure from the centre pin to the front of the shackle.
- Use this measurement to clamp the front bracket into position from the centre of the wheel well.
- Obtain the rear hanger (dumbjack) measurement from the spring length from the centre of the eye plus 25mm for 710mm springs.
- This length will be 735mm from the front mount.
- Weld both hangers into position.
- Install the front shackle bolt and spring into the hanger.
- Connect rear shackle plates and shackle bolts into the rear of the spring.
- No Load: Shackleplates should be facing towards the front of the trailer.
- Total Load: Shackle plates will swing to the rear of the chassis.
